Truly a BLAST and COMMUNITY EFFORT! A big thank you to the town of Yountville for their incredible welcome and Halloween festival for kids and adults alike! We truly aimed for this to be a community event where family and friends come together not only for our cause but to participate in a meaningful fun-filled day, helping improve the quality of life for those affected by brain-related trauma and tumors.
Thank you to our sponsors and vendors for their great enthusiasm – from Bardessono serving up spicy drinks to a surprise visit from Rabobank’s “Cash Cow,” Pop Chips and Hint Water for satisfying our thirst and munchie fix, and the Mann Family for sending up crispy apples from their ranch in Watsonville. Special thanks to HealthQuest for keeping us fit, Athletic Feat for getting us geared up, The Phillies for bagging up the swag, Villa Corona for their post-party goodies, our winery friends, 94574, Turnbull, Robert Synskey, Staglin Family Vineyards and a special thanks to UCSF Medical Center for the gift of Kelley O’Brien and her husband Rob Johnson who toted the Olympic Torch!
The awards and after-party would not have been complete w
ithout the background music and commentary of KVON/KVYN, Tim McGraw’s Truck Yeah T-Shirts and Faith Hill’s impressive stilettos! Even the weather was perfect. All of the organizers, including The Whitney Fusion Team, Carol from the Yountville Community Center and Jody’s volunteer Gang were amazing, attending to every detail, and making sure that the day had a very positive, family-friendly and upbeat vibe. Special thank yous go out to Yountville’s Mayor, John Dunbar and his wife Robin and to Steve Rogers and Samantha Holland-Wagner.
We want to thank everyone involved, our race organizers, volunteers, the runners, the sponsors, and the friends and families who came out to enjoy the day, for a successful event.
Again, we are truly touched by those who participated for a family member or friend.
Because of you…
The Tug McGraw Foundation can further its mission. Thank you. Hope to see you next year!
